Children of Iraq

 

Common Humanity continues and expands the work of Children of Iraq.  During the period of destructive economic sanctions on Iraq in the 1990’s, Children of Iraq worked to help Americans better understand the humanitarian catastrophe their government’s policy of economic stranglehold on Iraq was causing.  In December, 2002, just before the U.S. invasion, Mel Lehman organized a delegation of doctors to Baghdad to teach medicine.
